Laser & DOFF Cleaning

Laser cleaning is a proven, reliable, efficient and high-speed cleaning solution which provides opportunities to revolutionise outdated methods and maintenance across all industries.

 

The process can completely strip away paint, coatings, graffiti, dirt,  pollution, rust, oil and grease well as modify surface texture, for example adding roughness to increase adhesion, on almost any material - from metals to masonry and timber. This is achievable with zero damage to the substrate.

How it Works

This energy laser breaks down existing contaminants and effectively removes them from the substrate. Removal of the degraded layer or coating affects only a few microns. It doesn’t continue to burn away the solid surface underneath, making the laser’s effects more specific. This non-contact cleaning method does not use any cleaning media and avoids the problems of mechanical wear and chemical corrosion or hazardous handling in traditional cleaning.​ 

 

Our machines deliver short, powerful bursts of laser power in an extremely precise and consistent beam path. The technology effectively cleans sub-micron particles which have been adsorbed by the surface of materials that are difficult to clean by other methods. The laser is able to precisely focus on this fine surface layer of contaminants, preventing any damage to the surface beneath.

 

This non-contact cleaning method prevents the need to use dangerous and corrosive chemicals, which are damaging to human health as well as the material itself that is being cleaned. Furthermore, it prevents health and safety risks associated with mechanical cleaning, as well as avoiding mechanical wear and material damage.

Budget & Environmentally Friendly

Our laser cleaning process does not use toxic chemicals, and the process does not produce any pollutants or contaminants - this allows the use of our machines across food and pharmaceutical industries. Small levels of dust/smoke extraction required when working on certain surfaces ensures safe and clean working conditions are always adhered to. Additionally, energy requirements are low - while on full power the device uses around the same electricity as a domestic fridge. 

 

This innovative method of laser cleaning is considerably faster than more traditional cleaning methods; laser cleaning is instant, with no preparation works required or drying periods to wait for, thus reducing man hours required and labour costs. In addition to this,  laser cleaning leaves behind zero waste or debris, completely avoiding expensive disposal costs.

Requirements

Mobile laser cleaning will need flat access with a heavy (250kg) machine to within 5 meters of the area to be cleaned along with an open secure area to run a diesel generator and associated power leads (Mains voltage), to be within sight - up to 20 meters, in an area with close vehicular access we can work directly from the van without unloading.

 

We aim to give as accurate appraisals as possible for all our jobs, however, until the surfaces to be cleaned have had a test patch completed, it is difficult to predict the requirements of respective works.​
